Dry run protection: draining tanks down to the last drop

ZUWA Impeller Pumps can be run dry without harm not more than one minute. A longer dry run time heats up the pump chamber and as a result affects the rubber impeller wheel. This is a typical problem when draining tanks down to a minimum level.

Functioning

In order to protect the impeller a sensor switch interrupts the power supply when overheating. Pressing a reset button starts the pump operation again after the fault is eliminated.

Dry run protection is available for the following impeller pumps:

• UNISTAR 2000-A/B
• COMBISTAR 2000-A/B
• NIROSTAR 2000-A/B

Flow control

Flow control of brass to control and adjust the pumps flow rate to a specific quantity. The flow meter is integrated in the housing.

3 types:

• 2-8 l/min (for pumps type A)
• 8-30 l/min (for pumps type A)
• 10-40 l/min (for pumps type B)

Mechanical pressure switch

The pressure switch stops the pump once the preset pressure of 3 bar is reached (top switching point). When pressure reaches the lower switching point the pump will restart automatically. Switch hysteresis is set to 30% as standard.

Switch pressure adjustable from 1-10 bar.

Housing: stainless steel or brass

Connecting thread: 1/4"

A useful tool to install the impeller easily into the casing, suitable for all ZUWA Impeller Pumps types A and B.
